Anyway, they're in the kitchen. Yona's just turning on the stove to boil some water in a kettle when Hansa arrives, and she looks up from it when she hears his footsteps.]
I know that it could have been a lot worse than it was. [It could have been messier. Or it could have been an innocent person on the chopping block.] But "it could have been worse" doesn't mean what happened wasn't still... you know. Bad.
It's probably for the better. My father... he was very opposed to violence. He avoided fighting whenever he could, and never wanted me to even touch any kind of weapon. I don't think he would have been happy if I took someone's life and was... rewarded with remembering something for it.
That's something to keep close to your heart. To take another's life for whatever reason is a heavy burden. Even if one is rewarded for it, it doesn't really justify it, right? There is no good price for murder. And I'm sure your father would agree with that.
...there might be times when you don't have any other choice, but... I think anyone who takes a life will carry the weight of that life with them forever.
[The really scary people are the ones who can take lives without feeling the weight of it at all.]
Wherever Hansa happens to be, Yona is there now. She looks like she wants to ask him a question, but unfortunately, her voice is still gone! Luckily she can make use of her PHS to use her words unless you've decided to have him go blind post-execution so he doesn't have to perceive people going WTF.]
