I've been learning how to do a lot of things I'd never one before lately, and I've gotten pretty good at a lot of them! I can even go hunting with a bow and arrow, now.

That might be the case. People from different places will have different skills, so the more variety there is, the better prepared we'll be if something comes up. There might be something I can't handle at all that someone from another world does every day without even thinking about it.
