[where's sora at. i should have asked before i started writing this but i didn't and so i will leave it to you to decide where yona finds him, but she tracks him down while sipping from a mug of tea that is definitely not blood tea.
meeting their hosts sure has given them stuff to think about, huh.]
...so I guess we know what was in the castle now, but I still kind of wish we could go in there.
[he's just about to enter the kitchen, so let's say that they bump into each other while yona's on her way out and he's on his way in. but at least he'll stop and greet her.]
Yeah...when I asked Fox why we couldn't get there, they said it was just that the castle was like that. Maybe we'll be able to go there later now that we've met those three.
Maybe - but they said they'd be in the town with us, when I asked. They also said that we would be able to use that building we met at to get in touch with them if we couldn't find them, though.
[sips her tea]
...what do you think about the whole "gathering nova" thing?
The one we tried breaking into? Guess that explains why it was locked in the first place. It wasn't ready for us.
[but what a question. he folds his arms over his chest and leans against the doorframe, successfully blocking the kitchen while he thinks of the right words to say.]
It's not exactly what I expected, but it doesn't surprise me either. I had a feeling this place was in trouble but I didn't know it'd be like this. What worries me is that they don't even know how we're supposed to gather the nova at all.
[he glances at yona then.] But we're going to do it, right?
If our worlds are really at stake, then I don't see that we have any choice but to do it.
[...it's hard to believe, but. the fact that they were able to be here at all is indication enough that the situation isn't quite as simple as "our worlds are far away from here, so how could they be in danger?" after all - if there's enough of a connection to take them here, there's enough of a connection for the trouble here to spread.]
I just don't like not knowing what "doing it" is going to mean.
That part bothers me, too. It can't be too bad if we're going to be split up into teams and still working together. That's what Fox told me. But I wonder why the Realm hasn't told them what to do yet.
We also don't know what's going to happen if people decide not to participate.
It would take a pretty contrary person to decide not to participate when their entire world is at stake. Even if they don't want to help our hosts because they're mad about being kidnapped, you'd think they'd at least be willing to help themselves so they have somewhere to go home to.
[like. she's just saying.]
This whole "Realm" thing seems a little suspicious, though. At least be a little more clear about what you want, Realm!
You'd be surprised. Some people just choose to be contrary. [judging by his expression he seems to be thinking of something in particular but it's fine.] Besides, if all of us are supposed to be helping out I'm sure there will be people who feel like they can help less.
[boo on those people.]
--maybe that's what we should have asked Fox. If we could talk to the Realm ourselves.
You're right. They can't say no if both of us are convincing them. [teamwork!]
I forgot to ask them about the rock, too. [it's. just a rock, sora.] I had so many things I wanted to ask, but when they started talking about our memories and stuff it almost didn't matter as much.
Exactly. I'm not going to let anything happen to my friends. Even if it means we have to play along with this competition. [which he still has some Thoughts on.] How competitive do you think the people here will be?
If all of the teams are meant to collect nova, then it's a competition to do it faster than every other team or collect more than the others, right? But I don't know how the collecting even works. Any ideas?
That's what I don't really understand. I overheard them say that they're working on finding out how we're supposed to do it, but... you'd think that would be the first thing they wouold know, right? Since that's the whole reason we're here?
I guess "more worried" would be a better way to describe it.
...it feels like we ought to be doing something, now. Knowing our worlds are in trouble makes me feel so restless it's almost impossible to sit still! But... there doesn't seem to be anything we can do yet.
Yeah...I tried asking Fox what we could be doing and they just avoided answering that part. Or they didn't really know, but I'm not sure what's worse. [mmm...] All we can do now is get to know each other better so we can all work together. They made that much clear.
