[where's sora at. i should have asked before i started writing this but i didn't and so i will leave it to you to decide where yona finds him, but she tracks him down while sipping from a mug of tea that is definitely not blood tea.

meeting their hosts sure has given them stuff to think about, huh.]

...so I guess we know what was in the castle now, but I still kind of wish we could go in there.

[he's just about to enter the kitchen, so let's say that they bump into each other while yona's on her way out and he's on his way in. but at least he'll stop and greet her.]

Yeah...when I asked Fox why we couldn't get there, they said it was just that the castle was like that. Maybe we'll be able to go there later now that we've met those three.

Maybe - but they said they'd be in the town with us, when I asked. They also said that we would be able to use that building we met at to get in touch with them if we couldn't find them, though.

[sips her tea]

...what do you think about the whole "gathering nova" thing?

The one we tried breaking into? Guess that explains why it was locked in the first place. It wasn't ready for us.

[but what a question. he folds his arms over his chest and leans against the doorframe, successfully blocking the kitchen while he thinks of the right words to say.]

It's not exactly what I expected, but it doesn't surprise me either. I had a feeling this place was in trouble but I didn't know it'd be like this. What worries me is that they don't even know how we're supposed to gather the nova at all.

[he glances at yona then.] But we're going to do it, right?

[as sora walks out of the emporium, he finds himself running into one of the people he's wanted to seek out the most. she's a little ways ahead of him, but he lifts a hand and calls out without thinking about it.]

Yona! [he dashes toward her, coming up beside her and pausing to look her over.] ...I was actually just looking for you.

[dawnblushed]

Sora...?

[yona stops, looking over at him as he catches up to her. she seems a little calmer now, and her eyes are a little red, but. it's fine probably.]

...you wanted to check on me?

[reconnective]

[he kind of rubs the back of his neck sheepishly before folding both hands behind his head.]

When you put it like that...[but he nods.] I wanted to see how you were doing. That was...kind of a lot this morning.

[dawnblushed]

You can say that again.

[...]

I've seen people die before, and I've... [she hesitates.] I've killed before, but that was in... it was in battle. This just... felt different.

[well this has been a nice and wonderful day. regardless of the fact he should be sitting the fuck down, probably, sora's in town doing another sweep of the area. he doesn't expect to find anything, but he does kind of stop in the location of where they found alyssa.

this is how he finds yona walking nearby and he lifts a hand to greet her.]

This again, huh? [hey, how are you, this sucks.]

[walking around looking for clues: the protag life.

anyway, yona raises a hand to greet sora, too, but she is unfortunately very upset looking, because murder sure does suck! but she takes a breath, tries to calm herself, and nods.]

This again. At least we... know what to expect tomorrow. Kind of. [...] What did you find?

[reconnective]

Alyssa, technically. [um?] We found the emporium totally wrecked like somebody ran through it last night. It was almost impossible to navigate. But somebody left a bloody t-shirt and some hair there.

...we found Alyssa in the plaza though. She was pretty bruised up but otherwise she seemed okay. Jeanne took her to see Chiron already.

What about you guys?

[Whew. That's good, at least.]

...we went to the docking bay. There was blood in the shuttles, and... a damaged space suit, and... Cater.

Someone put her in the lockers.

[what's up, sora! that execution sure was something, wasn't it. once people have dispersed and had some time to chill out a bit, yona goes looking for him.]

Hey, Sora, can I ask you something?

[reconnective]

[here they are outside and sora looks back from where he's walking, stopping so yona can approach.]

Yeah. Is everything okay?

[dawnblushed]

I think so, but... when I was talking to Kano yesterday, he asked me to go look for something he buried, near the bear's den. He said you knew where it was - I was hoping you could show me?

[reconnective]

[he tilts his head.]

Yeah. Sure. It's not too far from here and the bear shouldn't bother us if we don't go in the den. Did he say what it was?

[here they are at the docks! thanks to shock week, sora is not getting playfully shoved into the water, because with the electricity effect, they'd both just die.

yona starts to walk forward to sit next to him, but then pauses just before reaching emotionshare range.]

...Sora, can I join you?

[reconnective]

[thank you for not frying him yona!! but he tilts his head back to look at her as he hears her speak, grinning softly as he gestures to the spot next to him.]

Plenty of room.

[well! she'll sit down next to him, but she'll stay far enough away so as to not accidentally shock him or something.]

[hellooooo sora where you at. wherever he happens to be, yona is coincidentally also there! she's quite obviously attempting to avoid the memory bubbles, because as she waves she yanks her hand back to avoid popping one, then twists to avoid walking into one -

only to stumble back and pop one as she backs up. dang it.

they're in a castle.

yona is looking out the window, contemplating how to escape, when a pair of women enter the room carrying trays of food. one of them seems to know what she's thinking just by looking at her, and speaks as she's setting the tray down.

"You will not be able to escape from here."

of course, that turns into yona offending her by implying that her husband might not come back from the war.

"Regardless of who Kouka brings forth, defeating Lord Kuel-bo is impossible."
"That's not true!"

they talk, about kuel-bo, and what his plans are, and about the shackles around yona's ankles. they seem to come to some kind of an understanding, eventually - and as the woman gets up to leave to reheat the food, another man walks in the door. priest gobi, they call him.

"You see, I'm very interested... in Princess Yona, and the dragons..."

anyway it continues in a later chapter because the author keeps SPLITTING THINGS UP. i know you said to do a memshare of yona being badass but honestly the other woman, yoo-lan, is also a badass and i needed to include her throwing tea on a jerk.

"My role is simply to remove pebbles like you from the path he treads. It seems your god is blind to even that."

get fucked, gobi. anyway, the scene continues into the next chapter, so keep reading.

"Princess Yona, the truth is I just can't forget... that miraculous dragon god wrapping itself around you... I should like... to see it once more! Even if it means... chopping you to pieces...!"

he reaches for her, and a squirrel pops up to distract him. a moment later, yona vaults forward herself, using yoo-lan as leverage, to deliver a swift, powerful kick to his cronies despite the fact that her ankles are literally shackled together.

yoo-lan throws something into their eyes, grabs yona's arm, and the two escape out into the hall, yoo-lan running while yona somehow manages to hop after her at a rapid pace.

"Amazing!"

"You kicking them with your feet like that was much more so."

"If I don't fight back, I'll end up dead, or my friends will become someone's tools. I must live, and return home."

and then she fucking stole a sword, jumped out a window, killed some people, stole a bow. keep reading until the scene changes. thank you.]

...I don't... remember that.

[they're probably trying to cross the bridge which means the bubbles are harder to dodge! he's about to catch her as she stumbles, and then. well. a lot of things sure happen all at once.

he's not even sure what he's seeing. yona as a prisoner, meant to become a goddess for another tribe. yona as a princess? there's talks of marriage and dragons and these are all words he knows without context, especially in only knowing yona the way he does, but...

...it doesn't surprise him, perhaps, to see the way that woman, yoo-lan, fight back and the way yona herself escapes all while being shackled.

also. she has an animal companion and he has a lot of questions, but that seems pretty princess-y to him, so. the memory fades and sora's equal parts awed and curiosity...mostly impressed though. like. to the point he gives a polite little clap.]

Kind of a bummer you don't. That was...[impressive.] Did you recognize anything at all?

[he has! a lot of questions! but this first.]

[she shakes her head]

None of it. If I hadn't just seen myself there, I'd have said that I'd never been there at all.

[...maybe it's something she's forgotten, she thinks.]

[whew. they're back. that's one thing down.

who knows what's going to happen tomorrow? yona sure doesn't. but they can figure that out as they go along. she's leaning against the wall of wherever they are to catch her breath a little, but she smiles when she spots sora.]

Hey, Sora.

[reconnective]

[he immediately brightens when he sees yona, stopping and changing directions to approach to lean on the wall as well.]

Welcome back. We missed you guys.

[dawnblushed]

[a pause, and then -]

...thanks. You guys worked really hard, right?
