...I don't know about that. It's one of those things where if they can't do it I'll probably get really annoyed, since I know firsthand it's supposed to be possible.

Well, the patience to begin to try it certainly counts for something. You cannot help those who don't help themselves as well-- annoyance would be more than understandable.
