[welcome to the pub ochako we're gonna get smashed!!
okay, that's probably not true, because ochako and yona are both good girls and i have a hard time imagining either of them ordering booze unprompted, alas. but yona's sitting here with a bowl of stew. her legs have been wrapped in bandages, no more icky leeches!
...sir pent is settled around her shoulders, though. he's hanging out and occasionally tasting the air from time to time.
[ she's grinning! this is so exciting, planning a bunch of firsts for yona. ]
Okay, so it's kind of like a flat bread, right? They make the dough and spread it all out, then they spread some tomato sauce over it. Then there's the cheese, and after that, you get to add whatever toppings you like - usually, it's vegetables or meat, depending on what you like. But you can customize it as much as you like, so there's basically a pizza for everyone!
Hmm... We could probably make it work! Chicken and mushrooms do go pretty well with mozzarella and tomato sauce, but I wouldn't know how to spice it...
[ well that sure was a trial, huh! the girls must have had the same idea because ochako heads for the kitchen shortly after, to grab a light snack and something to eat. she does hesitate when she sees yona, but she takes a breath and goes inside with a smile - not a happy one, but it's there? ]
Well, first I wanted to thank you for helping us Fujimoto-san and Wilde-san.
...But I wanted to apologize, too. [ hands clasped in front of her, ochako bows. ] My vote was for you. I didn't know who to vote for, just that it wouldn't be you. But I am sorry for putting you in danger at all.
[honestly all i can think right now is it really would have been so funny if yona had managed to get scapegoated by safe votes this game. ray help i'm dying.
anyway, yona looks surprised - but then she smiles.]
...it's okay, Ochako. [...] It's hard, isn't it? Having to make choices like that.
Not at you. It's this situation that's all wrong. None of us should be in a position where we're trying to decide who lives and who dies in the first place.
From the sound of it, I think so. If the monster is the cause of all this, then finding it and stopping it seems like the surest way of putting an end to it.
[but also it's only week 2 so who knows if that's actually the solution]
I'll ask my leader if they know anything about it later - or if they have any ideas for how to find it. That what's causing the, um... "splintering," too, right?
[ she says "splintering" uncertainly, like she isn't even sure that's the right word? trial was a blur and half of that explanation went over her head. ]
So the faster we can find some way to at least track the flow of nova, the better. Maybe we can hack the PHS trackers somehow.
It would make sense, I think. If it can siphon off nova from the Realm, the splintering might be a side-effect of that.
[...]
I don't know how long it will take to find it, but I think we should try.
...and, um. [she hesitates.] If we're in a trial again, and you don't feel like you can vote for someone in good conscience... you can vote for me. We all have to vote, so I'd feel better knowing you've done that and that you'll be safe.
w2, monday

when yona spots ochako, she waves.]
Ochako! Over here! Are you here for dinner, too?
no subject
[ once she hears yona calling, she'll come right over, grinning. ]
Figured I might as well give the local food a try! I'm glad you're here, though; it's always more fun to eat with friends.
no subject
[yona beams at her. dinnertime!]
The food here is... interesting. It's definitely the kind of food you'd expect to eat in a place like this.

Sorry, but... what's a movie?
no subject
[ not saying it to be mean, but lmao. ]
It’s like a play, but… you can watch it over and over, and it never changes? It’s a story people act out, just one that’s recorded.
no subject
[...she kind of wants to see a movie now]
no subject
no subject
[they'll watch the movie this week ripped off]
no subject
[ she's pointedly ignoring what the cost of this will be but you know sometimes you skip a few meals to afford fun hangouts with people, it's fine. ]
no subject
anyway it's fine yona can bring something fancy from kouka that they can sell to pay for pizza, that's how this works, right?]
I haven't! What is it like?
no subject

[well. now yona wants pizza!
im crying. ray no i just realized that now my character is associated with pizza parties two games in a row.]
no subject
We could probably try to make some, if we want... I've never done it myself, but it can't be that hard.
no subject
[scale of 1 to 10 how bad will this be]
no subject
What toppings do you think you'd want to try, Yona-san?
no subject
[cooking party with an npc!!]
Hmm... Chicken and mushrooms would be pretty tasty, I think? Oh, and green onions!

no subject
Well, why not? We could even make it a curfew thing, maybe. Good food helps people relax when they're stressed, anyway!
no subject
[ha ha we're going to make taako cook pizza for a party two games in a row]
week 2, saturday
Hey, Yona-san. I wanted to talk to you, after...
no subject
yona nods, continuing with waiting for her tea to steep.]
...sure. What did you want to talk about?
no subject
...But I wanted to apologize, too. [ hands clasped in front of her, ochako bows. ] My vote was for you. I didn't know who to vote for, just that it wouldn't be you. But I am sorry for putting you in danger at all.

anyway, yona looks surprised - but then she smiles.]
...it's okay, Ochako. [...] It's hard, isn't it? Having to make choices like that.
But... I understand.
no subject
When we don't know for sure... [ ochako nods. ] But isn't right to risk someone innocent, either. So I understand if you're angry with me.
I just... don't want a repeat of what happened with Kano-san.
no subject
[...that feels like a lie. she is angry, but - ]
Not at you. It's this situation that's all wrong. None of us should be in a position where we're trying to decide who lives and who dies in the first place.
no subject
[ this close, she can't hide the little spike of relief that yona isn't angry with he, even if there's still a healthy amount of apprehension there. ]
But to change it, we have to fix the nova situation, right? And the only way to do that is to find that monster Elsa was talking about?
no subject
[but also it's only week 2 so who knows if that's actually the solution]
no subject

[ . . . ]
Then... the same goes for you, Yona-san. If you need someone to vote for, you can use my name.
[ that's only fair. ]
no subject
Thank you, Ochako.
[she's hoping they won't need it! ideally, they'll track down this monster, kick its butt, and be home by this time next week.
(but that's not going to happen.)]
...we can figure it out. I'm sure we can.
no subject
Hopefully it won't come to that, but if it means taking out some of the uncertainty, I'm happy to help.
We can and we will. I'd hate to leave this place with something like that, anyway.

Okay, but take me with you when do! I wanna see that for myself.
no subject
Of course!
