So he talked to me about his memories, since I wanted to know if he ever got one back.
In general, the Leaders all seem to remember something when their entire team does - so that doesn't count. But they also remember something about their lives every time someone chooses to commit a murder.
[he doesn't seem to mind sharing that, at least, given that apparently the news didn't reach yona so the teams that received alerts also probably didn't reach her?
Zuko is - strong, reliable, and someone that makes you feel as though that if you stumble, he'll right you back up. Right? [he smiles a little bit, tilting his head] He's a bit awkward... and it's funny, because he's actually quite easy to tease.
In comparison, Hak would be the one teasing others. You were especially a target of his - but I think it was a testament of how well you two got along.
[his voice is so fond, it's so gross.]
But... they're both very good people. Very loyal people.
there it is again - that strange, unwanted tightness in her heart. why does it hurt to hear soo-won talk about hak that way? she doesn't know who he is, but he's clearly important to him, so - why?
he's allowed to have people who are important to him.
she ignores it, and tries to keep it off her face. it's her feeling to grapple with, not soo-won's at least he can't feel it this week.]
Zuko IS really easy to tease. He puts up with a lot from us.
...I don't know if I'd like getting teased by Hak, but I must have liked him in spite of it if I didn't get him thrown out of the palace for it.

I wonder if it was your team or Sharon's that got the alert, then, since she's the one who actually made the choice, and you defended yourself.
[ditto for, like, emet's, but they don't icly know it was self defense yet.]

playing it safe]
So it's the matter of who took a life.
no subject
I see. That's good information to know.
no subject
.... we'll see how the Realm fares in the coming week. Zuko told me he wants to share his team with me once it's safer but...
I feel as though it's inconvenient, if we don't know each other's teams, when I'm still seeking information.

[Zuko gets around!]

[what a cute person]
You might not recall... but he's quite like Hak, actually.

tell her more about how they're alike because she doesn't remember enough to know what that means.]

anyway.]
.... fufu. You did. Even though you always hated admitting it - and he was under the impression that you didn't like him that much. Even still....
You were both very close - every time I came to visit the palace. You would have jokes together. [sure, that's how it was]
I believe he might even be your betrothed, based on what you told me.
[I FORGOT HE BELIEVED THIS UNTIL THIS MOMENT]

SOO-WON THAT'S NOT TRUE WHY WOULD YOU EVER BELIEVE THAT

he tilts his head]
Yona...? What is it?
no subject
[it takes her a little longer than it should to type the message and turn the phs to show him]
Father had said that I would marry whoever he chose as his successor, but he hadn't made that choice before he was killed.
no subject
... Hak would have been a rather excellent successor, if he were to trust in him.
[but.
he reaches out then to rest a hand atop her head]
.... though perhaps now - the choice is yours.
no subject
Perhaps. But I don't really have time for things like that now, anyway.
[or like, she won't when she goes back to kouka.]

laughs a bit at that.]
Careful - say that too much and you'll start to sound like me.

but he'll just shake his head]
.... I want you to live a life much happier than the one I've chosen, Yona.

[she might have been chased out of the palace, but -
she's still her country's princess, after all. she wants to protect it, and the people who live there.]
no subject
That you have already done so, and whatever more you do, I'm sure will be splendid.

[what's the point of all she's done so far if she doesn't keep going?]
