Yona is used to doing most water-related things (drinking, laundry, bathing...) in rivers, so since she hasn't yet learned about the existence of running water, that's where she goes. When Kasumi comes across her, she's crouched a little precariously at the water's edge, both her hands submerged.
Look it's a start for treating her burns, okay...]
[Yona, your burns... She actually wanted to check the invisible barrier, but now that she's spotted her — well. It's only polite to check up on her, especially since she seemed to be in a bad shape when she last saw her.]
Hello! [Don't mind her as she casually slides up to her, leaning down slightly in order to get a better look at what she's doing.] Um... Yona-san, was it? I hope you don't mind me asking, but... what are you doing?
[Hi, Yona. Wherever she is, Sumire will eventually go looking for her with tea and food. To-go containers are convenient like that. Once she finds her, she will tentatively begin with:]
Yona-san... I brought food if you're able to stomach anything right now.
[They're in the dining hall - Yona's just sitting at one of the tables with a glass of water and a book. The book's been open to the same page for ... uh, a while.
It's fine. She looks up when Sumire approaches.]
...thank you... I probably should eat something, you're right.
[She sets the containers down in front of her, taking a seat at the same table. If Yona opens them, she will see it's green tea and a sandwich that has been cut in half, crusts removed. Please eat.]
[As much as I want to make a "wtf is a sandwich" joke I'm reasonably certain she's already been fed one in this game. Alas. But she manages a small, grateful smile as she opens the containers up, and takes a sip of the tea.]
...frustrated, mostly. I wish that could have gone differently.
[Well. This sure is a way to wake up. Sumire sits up, groggily picking sleep gunk out of her eyes, and moves to swing her legs over the edge of— uh. Hm. She will notice Yona in a moment, but the first thing that comes out of her mouth as she realizes she's sleeping in a pile of leaves is:]
[...huh! It's been a while since Yona's woken up with leaves in her hair. It's not the first time, though, and so she doesn't seem too disoriented as she looks around.
But when she spots Sumire, she opens her mouth to say hello!
[Her glasses are off and Yona is now mute, so guess who still doesn't notice her? This girl! She throws her pillow to the side as if looking for something, not realizing her roommate is right there — until it's too late.]
—Yona-san?
[Please dodge the pillow she just threw at your face. Sorry.]
w0, friday now that i'm not conked out

[Girl, what if someone peed in the river.]

[???
What else would she be doing?]

[???]
But everyone washes things in rivers. People even do laundry in them, you know.
no subject
[??????????????]
Please, excuse me if this is a strange question. But, do you happen to know what a washing machine is, Yona-san?

[Though, Yona definitely has it worse than anything Sumire could be experiencing herself.]
I can't stop wondering if there was anything we could have done to prevent this. Anything at all.

She holds up her arm a moment later in a wordless "I'm okay!"]
no subject
Are you okay?! [Immediately yanking the pillow back and offering her a hand, sweating.] I'm so, so sorry, Yona-san!
no subject
Except not really. No sound comes out. Huh, that's weird. She blinks rapidly, then puts a hand to her throat. Huh...]

week six, sunday.
Ah— Yona-san? [A little hesitantly, trying to gauge her mood.] Are you free to talk right now?
no subject
Sure. What would you like to talk about?
[...she's trying very hard to stay calm! This is practice for tomorrow, when the newly dead arrive.]
no subject
[Food stalls are good. Maybe they can grab food while Yona contemplates the void.]
I'm sorry, I know it may not be my place to ask. But... how are you feeling?
no subject
[She smiles faintly.]
You're my friend, and you're worried about me, right? Of course it's your place to ask.
[But, hmm. She may be stalling.]
...I don't know. I'm feeling a little mixed up.
no subject
... Well, is there anything I can do to help?
no subject
[Which is not very helpful, but she appreciates that Sumi is trying, so. She'll try too.]
...I guess I'm nervous about tomorrow.
